Fischerstraße / Klostersteige

Today being Kempten’s pedestrian area it includes many patrician houses built in the 18th and 19th century and now under protection. The Schlössle (Little Castle) was built in 1593 as a noble living and business house. Opposite are outdoor stairs built in 1903/04 and offer a good view on Town Hall square. The façades of the houses Rathausstrasse 5 (with bay) and Fischersteige 8 (neo-Rococo) are well worth looking at. From the foot of the stairs you have a good view of the timbered gables of Fischersteige-street.
